Wonder if the deputy provided a chemical test for the accident? If not did they get a search warrant? Did they seize his phone to rule out that he was texting or talking? Will ISP investigate? Will it all just go away?

In regard to the off-duty sheriff's vehicle being involved in a pedestrian strike, it will be interesting to see if the Sheriff's Dept. is entangled in any lawsuits regarding this, even though the deputy was "off-duty." If a savvy lawyer can get liability to stick to the dept., it would definitely be time to rethink the off-duty use and abuse of dept. vehicles. Coincidentally, Wave3 News is reporting on this as I type: The victim is reported as deceased, and the state police are seeking another SUV that may have witnessed the accident. Not many details beyond that reported there at the moment.

Anyone got any information on last nights traffic fatality involving the county deputy and a skateboarder on Clifty drive? I heard from some officers some details but what I want to know is did the sheriff actually show up to the scene intoxicated? Was told his lap dog Taylor had to go and pick the sheriff up because he was to drunk to drive. He should have stayed home if he was drunk. What good did he do being there in that condition? Not getting my vote next time. Disappointed in former State Trooper Thomas.

jb reply: The initial investigation by Trooper Andrew Garrett, Indiana State Police-Versailles Crash Reconstruction Team, indicated that Deputy James T. Webster, age 51, was off duty but driving his Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department issued 2016 Ford Explorer westbound on Clifty Drive near Rose Street in Madison, Indiana shortly before 10:00 pm last night. Dep. Webster’s vehicle struck Hunter A. Robinson, age 22, who was also traveling westbound on Clifty Drive in the roadway on a skateboard.

Have any of the unlimited hydroplanes confirmed that they plan to come to the Madison Regatta? I'm hearing that Madison Regatta and the Unlimited governing board have yet to sign a contract to bring the big boats to Madison

Like lots of failed groups in Mad Town. Lyin Lucy’ll give her a raise and the board will promote her.

Well Lyin Lucy finally did a press release and admitted that the visitors center restructured. In others words the director that falsified so much information and was part of all the credit card mismanagement was fired. What’s gonna happen to the marketing girl that pays for junk yard billboards and wants extra money under the table for her doing her regular job?
