Not advocating for a party, but pointing out your red herrings. You realize the Covid case that you would link with the party would also be linked something/somewhere/someone else right? You would in turn need to trace it back to every carrier or location and file a massive lawsuit. Good luck with your future case though.

As a merchant I was concerned about the issues with the flower beds. For many years they would put in a few little annuals and by the 4th of July they were troubled down by tourist and people trying to get to their cars. Finally about 6 years ago I took it upon myself to start doing my own flower beds in front of my store. We have had more compliments than I can say about our beautiful flower beds. We took all the necessary precautions to make sure that they were big enough to see, they would grow year after year, and they lasted into the fall. The other day when I had heard about the city wanting to take over the flower beds I called and inquired. I was told they were definitely going to take them over. I responded by letting them know that I will be taking up all of my flowers. I don't care if they do them but they need to understand that this is a reflection not just on the city of medicine but on our shops too. If there's a dead flower bed in front of my shop and I feel that it reflects on me and on how people see my store. I definitely do not want to go back to little tiny perennials that don't grow and flower beds that have been walked on and killed by 4th of July weekend. I'm giving them one year. If they can't do it I'm taking it back over again.
I dare them challenge me!

So much for the expert junkyard billboard guru.

So let me get this right we pay 15 grand because VMI is too lazy to do their own work and a computer program does it for them so it gives us a close up of a tree trunk, some photos from a business that’s been closed over two years (Rembrandt’s) a dog sitting in a flower pot at the Fountain, 2 dozen bridge pictures and another darnnnear two dozen of Main Street buildings and some ratty pictures of the Riverboat Inn. No pictures of smiling shoppers or thunder boat rides but lots of photos of the American Queen which doesn’t do our businesses any good. There’s no photos of the new hotel downtown and the only thing at Clifty is waterfalls, rocks and trails. No one cares about the Lanier Mansion , nobody goes but local school kids. Seems to me someone is just too lazy to get off her fat bu++ and take some pictures and put them up. Who cares what goofy photos ma and pa visitor takes. Pay Bernie Kasoer or Campbell to do some good photos and pick the better places in town or at least the ones that are open and post them. This is basically a junkyard photo gallery in the home page

What’s the name of the tulips on Mill Street. The pretty pink ones and yellow ones that go up and down the street?

I've put in a call to Mindy McGee at the city to clear up confusion about flower beds on Main Street. Ive also asked JB to hold posts until we can get accurate info. I believe the city is looking for a continuous bloom, tidy perennial approach that relieves local businesses of the cost & associated labor. Not sure - but I think so.

Crowd Riff is a basically a program that groups pay to collect photos posted on the internet & social media so staff do not have the responsibility. They collect non-copy right photos & forward to the "gallery". VMI would have the ability to select & place photos or just let the program load according to what Crowd Riff thinks is best. You can get a good feel for the value of the program & the staff oversight by reviewing the photos on the VMI home page and various galleries in each category. (think things to do, lodging, dining)

As for the 65 billboard, yes there are concerns. I dont have pictures & dont travel that direction. It will take am a little bit to answer the questions on AAA & other budget items.

I sent JB a flyer for the May Day Celebration at Hanover Park this Saturday. For those of you who dont know the good news: Hanover just completed their 5 year park plan which was approved by DNR & now the town is eligible for multiple grants. In addition they recently committed to invest 50K to repave pathways in the entire park. Last year they added a park stage and provided free community based concerts; they will continue to expand the park as a music venue while also enhancing the sports complex.

This December Hanover will premier their first holiday based events at the park - including holiday light displays and a Christmas based event for families similar to their May Day Celebration. I'm sorry I dont have the exact name or brand for this event but will pass on details as soon as I do. Finally, Hanover Town Board will meet this week to discuss community wide beautification & holiday lighting opportunities for businesses and private citizens. Congratulations to Hanover Town Board, Parks Department & Hanover Citizens on a job well done. Have a great day Tami

Jefferson County moved to orange status today on the Coronavirus dashboard. Due to congregate settings -- A congregate setting is defined as an environment where a number of people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity for a limited or extended period of time. Hope prom and derby parties are worth it. UK variant is confirmed to be here, make sure you do your part to spread it, prom is once in a lifetime, no sense missing it, even if it is the last special thing you do with your life.
