your comments on blighted properties (especially the one at the river front - bottom of Central Ave?) - as well as the fundamental drainage issues all are worth of attention. Pass the peace

On the marijuana/hemp issue it's a dead fish in the water. I don't see adult Madisonian candidates or their supporters rallying around this non-issue. Although, I have been encouraged by the several year efforts of actor Woody Harrelson ( and others ) promoting hemp production for its' non-psychotropic uses such as clothing, handbags, backpacks, etc. and hemp rope - which also can be presented as " rope art " - is still the superior rope made from a natural element. Forgive my brief digression. Here's some real bread and butter items for candidates to ruminate upon: City roads need to be focused upon as there are quite a few rough patches around town; there's more sidewalk work to be done; weeds are making their presence known; junky-looking residences with/without too-tall grass/weeds. And here's a long-standing one down on the riverfront: There have been for SEVERAL YEARS three and four drains - and they abut the Riverwalk - that are ABOVE GRADE, thus, they make for LAKES of standing water after any sizable rain FOR DAYS! Mayor/street dept., may we please have these altered so that they drain as they should sometime in the remainder of 2019? Pass The Peace And Peace Be With You.

I agree with JB. Socialist Dem Berry just wants more hemp production so she can help legalize marijauna. She thinks shes part of the new guard and its hip to push for marijauna. Hemp is a fad you blind people. What a shameless woman bringing that trash here.

And as far as training goes, none is required.

Mr. Warren, one does not have to have a permit to own an AK-47. Any legal resident of legal age, that can pass a background check. Can purchase such a weapon at a gun store. In fact anyone of legal age can purchase one used at a gun show or from a private seller without a background check. As a strong supporter of our second amendment rights. I still find it troubling that we don't require all gun sales to include background checks.

The only thing more repulsive than the dumb attitude of a wannabe mayor. Is the absolute ignorance of the delusion that people will vote for her to destroy our city like she did Jefferson County when she was illegally double dipping as a county commissioner.

A few final comments on the AK-47 happening: Who owned the gun, was there a legal permit for it, did the person discharging it have any training from a licensed professional, who owned the building that was shot up and on whose property was the discharging staged? ****** What is the timeline with Meese, Inc. initiating morphing into the Marriot hotel/resort? If you view the front - riverside - of the building you'll notice climbing and clutching weeds have a pretty good start on taking over that façade. Pass The Peace And Peace Be With You.

Ding-a-ling Dingleberry thinks Hemp for CBD will be legal to grow here in Jefferson County some day. And a CBD processing plant in Jeffersonville - maybe.

It is so sad that she has no clue. Hemp is already legal to grow on Jefferson County farms and is being grown right here today. There is a CBD processing plant on HWY 36 just East of Milton buying for their CBD processing plant.

Ding-a-ling Dingleberry is the old guard and needs to get with the current times. Somebody please help her!

Maybe the Madison Courier can do a local story on Hemp; I can show them the crop that is currently growing here and doing just dandy.

On her FB page for mayor for Madison; she actually said:
Our neighbor to the west, the River Ridge Commerce Center, is planning a major CBD Mfg. venture. Hemp will be legal to grow in Indiana, and part of our economic plan could benefit agricultural interests in Jefferson County to help them with the volume needed for production. It's a bold, and somewhat controversial idea, but we need a Mayor who understands opportunities to grow our economy. I will not be a caretaker Mayor. Our community needs bold leadership to grow. We are interested in your thoughts.
